Hotfix Requirements
In cases where managed storage may include profile paths or redirected folders, such as My Documents folders that you have redirected to home folders, you must apply the Windows Server hotfix referenced in Microsoft Knowledgebase article 973278 to engine and agent servers in the data-copy process.
Hotfix Knowledgebase URL: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973278
This hotfix only applies to the following platforms where the Engine or an Agent is installed:
- Windows Server 2008
- Windows Server 2008 Support Pack 1
- Windows Server 2008 Support Pack 2
This patch does not apply to either Windows Server 2003 Support Pack 2 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
In cases where you do not apply the hotfix to the affected systems, symptoms may include stuck copy-data-pending events with the message "Current Error - 32: The requested operation is not supported" in the event properties as well as the error message "0x00000032 (ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED)," which appears in the log file of the engine or agent that attempted processing the data copy.
1 Feature support is based on inherent features of the platform. For example, disk quota management is not supported.
2 If you cannot upgrade to a fully-supported or limited-supported version, Cross-Empire Data Migration might not be able to function.
3 Micro Focus Storage Manager does not support large volume and disk quota sizes on Open Enterprise Server 2015 and Open Enterprise Server 2015 SP1.
